Abi Clarke

In the older days (i.e. In the early 2020s, comedians were expected to entertain for decades in the UK before being invited onto the TV panel and selling out arena tours. But it is not that easy at the moment. Comedy is a form of art which has managed to continue to be performed in the presence of a live crowd, but we'll not be having arena tours anytime soon. However one Bristol comedian has found a worldwide audience through the social media lockdown. Abi Clarke did not set out to become a global internet star. The 24-year-old living in Hen bury, with her parents, first started making online videos "to establish a following of like-minded people who would appreciate my stand-up comedy. "I was performing regularly in Devon to males older than 50 who weren't so keen on my Love Island Sims and Twilight references so it was time to search online for others who were young and would like my stand-up comic." Abi, who lives in Henbury, with her parents has continued to post her videos on Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok. She finds inspiration from many sources, such as conversations with strangers, chatroom, and writing down everything she thinks on her smartphone.
