Susan Sarandon Bio
It was just after the 1968 Democratic convention and there was a casting call for a film featuring a range of roles for young people who had disrupted convention. Joe (1970) was auditioned for by Joe (1970) and Joe (1970) and Joe (1970), two recently graduated Catholic University students. Chris Sarandon was not selected even though he prior studies in acting. His wife Susan was given a prominent part in the film as Susan Compton as the child of Bill Compton (Dennis Patrick). Dad Bill kills Susan’s drug dealer boyfriend. Then, Joe (Peter Boyle) as a bigot, who works on an assembly line and has a collection of guns, is a friend to Susan. Five years later Sarandon creates the movie. Janet is a transvestite who is entangled by the mysterious Dr. Frank n Furter (1975). In the more than 15 years since beginning her career Sarandon was finally active in a campaign for a starring role in the film Annie in Bull Durham (1988), flying at her own expense from Rome from Rome to Los Angeles. "It was such an amazing script... It did dispel a lot of legends, and challenged American notions of what success is," she said. "When I arrived at the studio I spent a bit of time with Kevin Costner, kissed some women at the studio and was back on the plane". Her romance with the Bull Durham (1988)) supporting actor, Tim Robbins, had produced two sons by 1992 and placed Sarandon in the position of having to leave her home and stepping into roles that truly challenged her. There were four Academy Award nominations were received in the 1990s. The award for the best actress for Dead Man Walking (1995) was also given. Louis Malle's Atlantic City (1980) was her first Academy Award nomination.
